Wyner & Tiffany specializes in representing children with disabilities in special education and civil rights disputes with school districts that fail to comply with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act ("IDEA") and Regional Centers that fail to comply with the Lanterman Act.  Our mission is to assist special needs children by securing for them a "free appropriate public education" in the "least restrictive environment" under the IDEA, together with the necessary services to maximize their potential under the Lanterman Act.

In 2005, Wyner & Tiffany obtained a record $6.7 million settlement in the Porter case.  In 2006, Steven Wyner and Marcy Tiffany were recognized by the California State Legislature for their "outstanding commitment to providing quality legal services to the people of California," and also received the prestigious California Lawyer of the Year Award in the area of civil rights.  In addition, both have been named Southern California Superlawyers.
